An important part of establishing long-term relationships with our clients begins with good communications, so please allow us to explain how our plant warranty works at Sterling Landscape Design Group. Plants are living and require maintenance and care to a varying degree. Once your landscape is installed you will have the responsibility for caring for your plants. Maintaining your new landscape is not difficult. At the beginning of our project we will give you general plant care guideline to assist you. Simply refer to our tips and if you have any questions please call.

If you wish to keep your landscape looking its best and do not have time or knowledge to devote to plant care, please consider one of our professional landscape maintenance programs. Our programs are custom-designed to meet the needs and preferences of each client.


Limited Warranty:
The plant material installed by Sterling Landscape Design Group is warranted for a period of six (6) months from the date of Installation (the “Warranty Period”), subject to the following terms and conditions. This limited warranty does not relate to grading, seeding, sod, or settlement of subgrade. Seasonal flowers (perennial and annual) are not included in this warranty coverage. Sterling Landscape Design Group must be notified in writing within the warranty period of any requested warranty replacement.

Plant material covered by this limited warranty which dies during the Warranty Period will be replaced with plant material of like variety and original size, one time only, provided that the account is paid in full per the terms of the agreement. In order to ensure the survival of replacement plant materials, replanting will be done only during appropriate planting seasons when weather conditions are favorable. The Warranty Period shall not be extended in the event that replacement plantings are required during the Warranty Period. As a condition of this limited warranty, you are responsible to properly maintain the plant material during the Warranty Period.

This limited warranty shall not cover the death of plant material caused by any of the following circumstances:
Your limited plant material warranty WILL NOT be covered if:

  1. Plant material that has been found to have died from lack of water and/or maintenance post planting.
  2. Plant material that has been damaged by animals 
  3. Plant material damaged by any “act of god”, i.e. – winter burn, snow breakage, windburn, drought, flooding etc.
  4. Plant material found to be damaged by insect/disease infestation.
  5. Annuals are seasonal and die at the end of each season and are not covered under a warranty.
  6. Any plant material that has been transplanted following installation.
  7. Adding raised beds or excessive mulch build up after Sterling Landscape and Design Group has completed work will void any warranty claim.
  8. Existing plant material that is transplanted, as part of a project is not guaranteed.
  9. Plants sold at wholesale prices or sold on sale at special discounted rates.
